If you’ve ever been involved in a project involving an internet application or website, you have probably dealt with SEO, or “search engine optimization”.  One would think that this was the art of making the site work well with all search engines, but in truth it typically boils down to making it work better with Google.

If you haven’t dealt with building an internet app/site, you probably wonder sometimes what’s wrong with web design today.  If you read enough sites (especially blogs), you tend to see certain patterns emerge in the designs, even though those patterns don’t always make sense for the site.
