Estimating 101

October 14, 2007 – 10:26 pm

I’ve posted before on the value of breaking down tasks to small pieces for obtaining quality estimates.  Here’s another good article supporting the same theory- Web Worker Daily posts on Estimating 101, and recommends that to provide good estimate you need to break the work down into its most basic components.  They also make recommendations on how to allow for assymetrical variances in estimates (i.e. 2+2 does not always equal 4), not giving in to pressure to meet a specific cost, and other great advice.  Go check it out!
