PMing on the cheap: OpenProj free PM software

August 26, 2007 – 3:35 pm

Need heavy duty project management software, but don’t have the budget for a copy of MS-Project?  The folks over at Projity have recently released OpenProj, a free application aimed to be a replacement for MS-Project.  It runs on Windows, Mac and Linux, which is handy if you work in a non-M$ shop.  I’ve given it a test drive, and most of the features I need are all there.  It’s quick to learn if you’re familiar with other PM tools on the market, and very stable.  If you need an alternative to MS-Project, give it a shot:  http://openproj.org/openproj
